Warner Robins American clinched its fifth Little League District 5 title in as many years Monday with a 12-0 victory over Vine-Ingle’s all-stars.
The two-time defending state champion 11- and 12-year-olds from Houston County, who had edged Vine-Ingle 4-3 on Friday, out-hit the Bibb County boys 11-1 on Monday before a crowd of 550 at the Robins Little League complex.
Robins starter Blake Jackson struck out eight and walked three in a game that lasted four innings because of the 10-run mercy rule.
Vine-Ingle’s Dalton Newman smacked his team’s lone hit, a liner off the fence in right, in the first.
Robins had hits from every spot in its order, with homers from Spencer Sato and Harley Hunt. Hunt went 3-for-3 with a double and four RBI.
Conner Smith doubled in a run and Trey Maddox doubled in two in a three-run first for the winners.
Warner Robins advances to the state tournament in Toccoa, which starts July 25.
