FORT VALLEY — Peach Regional Medical Center officials are making big plans to show the community their appreciation.
During the hospital authority’s regular meeting Friday, hospital administrator Nancy Peed told the authority about a community appreciation day scheduled for July 11.
On that day, a 24-foot giant slide will be brought in, along with carnival games and prizes, refreshments, clowns, balloons and more.“It’s going to be a fun day,” Peed said, adding that volunteers are coming from Fort Valley State University.
Peed also informed the hospital authority that a new general surgeon joined the staff at Valley Medical Building. Douglas Joyner has worked in Montezuma and Americus after getting his medical degree from the University of Texas. He completed his residency at Brooke Army Medical Center.
