A Perry man is accused of shooting another man over $50, police said.
Pablo M. Daniel, 41, was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, Perry police Capt. Heath Dykes said.
Daniel, who had a prior rape conviction, was being held Thursday in the Houston County jail, Dykes said.
Daniel is accused of shooting Damien Singletary, 22, once in the left arm Monday afternoon over $50 he accused Singletary of stealing from his car, Dykes said. Daniel confronted Singletary in the 1300 block of Whipple Street in Perry. Singletary was treated and released from Perry Hospital for his injury, Dykes said.

Police recovered the .25-caliber gun used in the shooting, Dykes said.
