A gas line break on Ga. 127 at Arena Road created traffic congestion Thursday morning.
The road had been closed briefly for Jointly Owned Natural Gas to cap the leak when the line ruptured about 8:15 a.m., said Houston County sheriff’s Sgt. Robb McInvale.
But for most of the about three hours, only one lane was closed, McInvale said. The traffic was detoured as workers reconnected the line.
The break was attributed to road construction on Ga. 127, he said. The lane reopened for traffic about 11:30 a.m., he said.
