Annual Fort Valley arts and crafts show planned

FORT VALLEY – The 41st annual Jailhouse Alley Art Show and Sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the fellowship hall of First United Methodist Church in downtown Fort Valley. There will be original watercolor, acrylic and oil paintings, prints and pen and ink drawings from local artists.

Also Saturday, the Peach County Historical Society will host a silent auction beginning at 10 a.m. at the McArthur-Saxon House, 201 Miller St., Fort Valley. Among the items up for bidding: soup tureens from the estate of the late Ann Brown, vintage lingerie, china, a clock, artwork, jewelry, vases, hand-carved ivory crochet hooks and more.
