WARNER ROBINS — The intersection of Moody Road and Russell Parkway is open to traffic today after a water main break shut part of it down for most of Thursday.
City Utilities Director Montie Walters said the intersection reopened at about 11:30 p.m. Thursday after some testing was done to ensure the integrity of the road repair.
The water main had been repaired by about 2 p.m. Thursday, Walters said, but it took longer to repair street because of the huge hole that had to be dug to fix the 12-inch water line.
The intersection shutdown caused traffic congestion in the area for much of the day as motorists had to be rerouted.

About 10 businesses were without water for several hours. Some residences and other businesses were briefly impacted early Thursday morning until the break was isolated. Walters said.
