Three Fort Valley residents are accused of conspiring together to commit insurance fraud via a faked car theft from the Houston County Galleria mall in Centerville last year.

Georgia Story, 67, Alicia Stanley, 47, and Andrez Vasquez, 23, were indicted earlier this week in Houston County on one count each of conspiracy to commit false statement and writings and insurance fraud.

The indictment accuses Story of completing the overt act of arranging with Stanley and Vasquez through text messages to leave Story's car parked at the mall with the keys inside so Vasquez could take it and Story could file an insurance claim that her car was stolen. Stanley is accused of helping to leave the car for Vasquez to allegedly take.

Story was also indicted on a charge of making a false statement to a Centerville police officer by filing a report May 23, 2016 that her car had been stolen from the mall parking lot.
