Scene of ‘possible homicide’ in Warner Robins
The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family, according to a Warner Robins police news release.
“As this time, very limited details are available,” the release said. “The investigation is ongoing and our agency will release additional details when it comes available.”
Police responded to “a possible homicide” at residence at Villa North Court at 8:49 a.m., the release said.
Villa North Court is off Gawin Drive near North Houston Road.
Crime scene investigators remained on scene late Saturday afternoon, with crime scene tape sectioning off part of Villa North Court. A Warner Robins police car also blocked the street.
People who identified themselves as friends of the deceased gathered nearby hoping for information. They declined comment - not wanting to say anything because police had not released the man’s name. One woman said she was afraid commenting might harm the investigation.
As of 6:49 p.m., about 10 hours after officers were dispatched, police had not released any additional information since the 1:56 p.m. news release.
Jennifer Parson, public information officer for Warner Robins police, said in a 6:20 p.m. email, “We will brief media when there are additional details. What is included in the press release is all the information available at this time.”
