A woman and her dog were found dead in a car at the I-475 rest area on Wednesday.
Coroner Leon Jones identified the woman as Marcia Abbott, 60, of Sandy Springs. An autopsy will be scheduled.
A man who had been staying at the rest area last saw Abbott alive on Tuesday, and when he returned Wednesday afternoon, he saw her apparently unconscious in her Nissan Altima. Jones said Abbott had likely been dead since sometime Tuesday, and her poodle likely died sometime after that.
