A heat advisory is posted for much of Middle Georgia as temperatures will feel close to 105 degrees Tuesday afternoon.

Highs are expected to reach the mid-90s with high humidity levels that put additional stress on the body.

The advisory is posted from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. and includes Macon, Warner Robins, Milledgeville, Dublin, Cordele and Vidalia.

Everyone is urged to drink plenty of fluids, stay out of direct sunshine and in the air conditioning, if possible.
