The public is invited to learn more about Historic Macon Foundation’s push for an Ingleside Historic District.
A public meeting is scheduled Aug. 10 at 5:30 p.m. at Ingleside United Methodist Church at 3187 Ridge Ave.
Staff from Georgia’s Historic Preservation Division of the Department of Natural Resources will address concerns and answer questions about income tax credits that would be available for rehabilitated historic property.
A proposal will be made to the National Register review board on Aug. 28 at Panola Mountain State Park during its biannual meeting.
If approved, the National Park Service will have to sign off on the designation to allow for preservation incentives to be offered in the Ingleside neighborhood.
