Water to be shut off to some Macon residents along Forest Hill Road

The current road widening project on Forest Hill Road in Macon will require an interruption of water service overnight Tuesday and Thursday.

The water interruption will be from 11 p.m. Tuesday until 4 a.m. Wednesday, according to a Macon Water Authority news release. Residents on Forest Hill Road from the intersection of Forest Hill and Lokchapee Road to the intersection of Forest Hill and Wimbish Road including Waverly Pointe Apartments will be affected. Sides street along Forest Hill Road to include Forest Hill Terrace, North Laura Ann Place, North Laura Ann Court and Wood Forest Place may also be affected.

Water shut down will continue at 11 p.m. Thursday until 6 a.m. Friday, for residents from 1700 Forest Hill Road to 1340 Forest Hill Road, the release stated. Other streets in the Forest Hill Road area to be affected are all of Underwood Drive, Hill Place, Ousley Place, and the area from the intersection of Forest Hill Drive and Glenwood Drive along Glenwood Drive to the intersection of Glenwood Drive and Lake Valley Court.

Notices have been provided to affected customers by the contractors performing the work.
