Judge Hatchett to speak in Macon on dating violence

Judge Glenda Hatchett, star of the former courtroom TV show “Judge Hatchett” from 2000 to 2008, will be at Macon’s Anderson Conference Center on April 11 for the “Secrets and Stilettos” conference on healthy relationships and dating violence.

The Georgia Legal Services Program, a nonprofit law firm serving 154 counties outside metro Atlanta, is hosting the Saturday conference which lasts from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to a news release from Jana Edmondson-Cooper, spokeswoman for the legal services program.

Hatchett will be the conference’s keynote speaker. There will be special sessions for students and parents, as well as a “Locker Room Chat” session for men to discuss dating violence from their perspective. Lunch will be served and door prizes given, Edmondson-Cooper said.
