Southbound lanes of Interstate 475 will be closed Thursday for road work,
according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.
Spokeswoman Kimberly Larson said in a news release that one lane will be closed Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., between mile markers 5 and 7. That’s roughly between Zebulon Road and Thomaston Road.
Workers will be putting down asphalt sealant and preservative, and they will be using equipment close to open lanes, Larson said. Drivers are urged to use Interstate 75 instead to avoid heavy traffic.
