The newly installed gas pumps at the Kroger grocery store in north Bibb County are set to open Wednesday.
“They were scheduled to open next week,” said Glenn Jenkins, director of communications with Kroger. “We got to push it up by a week.”
Jenkins wasn’t sure exactly what time of day the pumps would be activated.
The fuel center is part of a major renovation of the Kroger store at 200 Tom Hill Sr. Blvd. The grocer is adding about 27,800 square feet to the 54,000-square-foot building.

The re-grand opening is tentatively scheduled for next summer.
