Investigators with the National Transportation Safety Board examined Sunday the engines of the plane carrying P. Allen Golson and his wife, Carol, and found nothing indicating what caused the plane to crash Friday in Florida, officials said.
Investigators also looked at Golson’s logbook and the plane’s landing gear. The investigation is continuing and is expected to last several weeks.
Golson, 55, the CEO of Coliseum Health System, was killed in the crash, and Carol Golson, 52, was injured. She was treated at a nearby hospital. The plane crashed near Ocala International Airport.
Golson had announced he was stepping down as CEO this month after seven years, with his last day set for Feb. 9. Golson had been named as the CEO of Ocala Health System.
