Macon-Bibb firefighters spent nearly three hours battling a stubborn blaze in a vacant house in Payne City early Tuesday morning.
Crews arrived at 164 Gardener St. shortly after 3:30 a.m. to find flames on the outside and inside of the building.
A fire investigator is trying to determine how and where the fire started.
Assistant Chief Cliff Rushin said the house appeared to be undergoing renovation with power hooked up, so it may have been electrical.
Further analysis is needed to pinpoint the cause, he said.
