Springdale Elementary employee struck by car while directing traffic

A Springdale Elementary School employee was struck by a car Wednesday while directing traffic at the school’s entrance and exit, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Carlo Porter, 35, was struck by a car leaving the parking lot at low speed just before 3:30 p.m. The driver didn’t see Porter while making a left turn, according to a news release.

Porter didn’t suffer any visible injuries aside from scrapes, but he received medical treatment.

No charges have been filed, according to the release.
