Macon city attorney Langstaff
to retire in three months

Macon City Attorney Pope Langstaff will retire April 28, after 13 years employment by the city, Macon Mayor Robert Reichert told City Council members Tuesday.

“We thought you ought to hear it here first,” Reichert said.

On that date in April, Langstaff will turn 55, the minimum age for retirement from the city, the mayor said.

His job will be advertised immediately.
