Woman dies following Dublin crash

A 66-year-old Dexter woman died following a Wednesday traffic crash at the intersection of Veterans Boulevard and Hodges Street in Dublin, according to the Georgia State Patrol.

Wilburtine Edmond, 66, was traveling north on Hodges Street in a 1996 Buick Century and ran a stop sign when she approached Veterans Boulevard at 7:15 a.m., according to the state patrol.

A 2003 Chevrolet Suburban driven by 31-year-old Tammy Oliver of Dublin was traveling west on Veterans Boulevard.

Oliver’s vehicle struck Edmond’s vehicle in the passenger side door area, according to the state patrol. A 10-year-old girl traveling with Edmond, Oliver and a 15-year-old girl traveling with Oliver were taken to Fairview Park Hospital after the crash, according to the state patrol.
