Georgia Power crews worked for nearly six hours to restore electricity in northern Bibb County after a tree fell on power lines Tuesday morning.
Macon-Bibb County firefighters responded to the report of arcing power lines on Tucker Road and found a large tree down on the lines near Price Road at about 7 a.m.
Bibb deputies and REACT volunteers detoured traffic around the tree until it could be removed from the road.
Georgia Power reports about 100 customers lost electricity near Peake Road during the height of the outage, which also affected some local traffic lights.
