The Macon-Bibb County chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and other partners are hosting a free information session for parents.
The main topic is advocating for your child at school, and the session runs from 6-8 p.m. Thursday.
The session, which will feature Middle Georgia lawyers talking about legal rights of students under state law and intervention programs, will be held at Freedom Park, 3301 Roff Ave., in Macon.
Other topics include avoiding the school-to-prison pipeline, enrollment issues and programs for exceptional children.
