Authorities looking into death of Wrightsville infant

Wrightsville police officials turned over the results of their investigation to the district attorney’s office Tuesday in the case of an 11-month-old infant who died Sunday evening.

Though the autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday, investigators said they think the cause of Michael Christopher Roberson’s death is drowning.

Craig Fraser, district attorney for the Dublin Judicial Circuit, said his office is still looking into the case. No charges have been filed, he said.

Officials said the infant’s parents, Marty Tanner and Sheena Roberson, called 911 at about 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Fraser said he is unable to comment about details of the death, citing the ongoing investigation.
