Macon boy bitten by dog after going in neighbor's yard

A 9-year-old Macon boy was bitten by a dog Thursday when he went into a neighboring yard to retrieve a basketball, according to Macon police.

The boy was playing basketball at a friend’s house near the intersection of Lawrence and Pine Hill drives in the Shurling Drive area at 6:10 p.m., according to a police report.

The boy told police a dog that looked like a wolf chased him until he fell, and the dog bit him on both arms.

The boy’s mother took him to The Medical Center of Central Georgia, according to the report.
