First Choice Primary Care to receive grant

First Choice Primary Care will receive a $673,000 grant from the federal government to assist in providing health care for low-income patients, said Doug Moore, a spokesman for U.S. Rep. Jim Marshall.

Moore said his office found out about the grant Wednesday. He said Marshall, D-Macon, thinks the clinic provides an important service to people in the city.

“(Marshall) loves this project,” Moore said. “He thinks it’s great. It provides a service for low-income individuals who wouldn’t otherwise have access to health services.”
