The Department of Transportation will be closing lanes on Interstates 75 and 16 next week for repairs.
From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, a single right lane on I-75 northbound near the I-16 exit will be closed to allow maintenance crews to make repairs to the asphalt, according to the DOT.
During the same time frame, there will be a double lane closure on I-16 East near the I-75 split so that crews can make repairs to the Spring Street deceleration lane.
The department asks that motorists use caution when traveling through the work zones. Message boards, signs, barrels and cones will be used to help alert drivers to the work.
Speed limits will be reduced and will be strictly enforced, the department said.
