Troopers respond to two fatal accidents in midstate

The Georgia State Patrol responded to two serious car accidents Tuesday.

Troopers were dispatched to a wreck in Crawford County at about 5:35 p.m. near the intersection of Carl Sutton and Hamlin roads where a child on a bicycle was fatally injured, according to Crawford County Sheriff Lewis Walker. The sheriff expects to release more information about the accident today.

In Jasper County, a motorist died in a crash near Rocky Creek and County Line roads at about 3:30 p.m., according to a dispatcher.

No additional details were available late Tuesday.
