Macon man reports being robbed by homeless person

A 48-year-old Macon man was robbed at knife-point and cut early Sunday morning in the 300 block of Pursley Street, according to the Macon police.

The man told police he was sitting near a vehicle with a relative about 4:40 a.m. when he was approached by a man he knows to be homeless who frequents the area, according to a police report.

The homeless man demanded the victim give him his book bag.When he refused, the homeless man snatched it from him with a knife in his hand, according to the report.

When the victim attempted to grab the bag back, the homeless man cut him in the arm and ran down First Avenue toward St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, according to the report.
