Two children accused of starting fires at Macon apartment

Two brothers, ages 7 and 9, have been charged with criminal trespass and criminal damage to property stemming from allegations they set three fires inside a vacant apartment in the 3800 block of Log Cabin Road, according to Macon police.

The fires set on July 30 caused damage estimated at more than $1,000, according to a police news release.

Both boys live in the apartment complex. They were released into their mother’s custody following their arrest Tuesday, according to the release.
