Pebble Street shooting suspect sought

A Macon man was wounded in an early morning shooting Wednesday on Pebble Street.

Jontavious Towns, 22, was walking near Second Street at about 4 a.m. when a gunman approached and demanded he hand over items in his possession, according to a Macon Police Department news release.

Towns was shot in the ankle and was in stable condition shortly afterward at The Medical Center of Central Georgia.

Police are looking for a black man in his 20s wearing dark pants and a light-colored shirt who got into a light gray van-type vehicle and drove toward Third Street, the release stated.
