Georgia Department of Transportation officials will be in Macon on May 7 to discuss the widening of Interstate 75 from Pierce Avenue to Arkwright Road.
The drop-in-style meeting is scheduled to run from 4 to 7 p.m. at Riverside United Methodist Church, 735 Pierce Ave. No formal presentation is scheduled, but engineers will discuss the project with the public.
Comments also will be accepted, according to the DOT.
The plan is to widen I-75 from two to three lanes in each direction beginning approximately 0.38 miles south of Pierce Avenue to approximately 0.57 miles north of Arkwright Road. The Pierce Avenue interchange at I-75/Arkwright Road interchanges would also be reworked.
