The National Weather Service has confirmed an EF-0 tornado touched down at 10:50 a.m. Saturday about four miles northwest of Vienna in Dooly County.
Forecaster Laura Griffith said the tornado left a path 500 yards long and 50 yards wide along Pleasant Valley Road, between Truman and Steele roads.
Six homes sustained minor roof damage with shingles and gutters blown off. Metal carports, sheds and other outbuildings also were damaged, Griffith said.
The winds, estimated as blowing between 65 and 85 mph, knocked down or snapped about 50 trees, she said.
