GPB to switch all stations Feb. 17

Georgia Public Broadcasting will switch from an analog to a digital signal on Feb. 17, four months earlier than the June 12 date set by President Obama, said George Jobin, station manager for GPB’s local affiliate, WMUM.

Originally, GPB was only going to switch its affiliate in southwest Georgia, but the network decided to switch all of the stations, citing aging equipment concerns and rising costs.
