Macon Water authority cleans up two overflows

The Macon Water Authority cleaned up two overflows Monday — 250 gallons at 5645 Riggins Mill Road and 960 gallons at 2802 Village Green Lane.

Both of the overflows were caused by grease or rags in the sewer line and did not contaminate any streams or rivers, said Mike Beard, the authority’s assistant sewer conveyance manager.
