The Southeastern Regional Fugitive Task Force on Friday arrested a 32-year-old accused of sexually assaulting the estranged mother of his children, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
The woman said Eric Demond Ussery was hiding in her car Friday morning when she got in, and he drove her at gunpoint to a deserted road in Lizella where he assaulted her, according to the sheriff’s office. Sheriff’s investigators provided Ussery’s information to the Fugitive Task Force, which was able to locate Ussery and take him into custody by late afternoon.
He is being held at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center on several charges, including ones that existed prior to his arrest: rape, aggravated assault family violence, kidnapping, false imprisonment, battery family violence, aggravated stalking and a hold for the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office on additional unrelated charges.
