A Ridge Avenue man is being held without bond after allegedly stabbing his father Tuesday night, according to the Macon police and Bibb County jail records.
Phillip Bryant, 19, is charged with family violence-related aggravated assault, child cruelty and obstruction, according to a Macon police report.
Officers responded to Bryant's home in the 3000 block of Ridge Avenue just after 9 p.m. and were told by family members that Bryant and his father, 41-year-old Alphonso Bryant, had gotten into an argument, according to the report.
During the argument, Phillip Bryant slammed a door in his father's face and punched him in the face, according to the report.

Alphonso Bryant ordered his son out of the house, but the two ultimately wrestled and Phillip Bryant stabbed his father several times with a knife from his pocket, according to the report.
Alphonso Bryant was treated and released from The Medical Center of Central Georgia, according to a hospital spokesperson.
Phillip Bryant tried to run away from officers while they were at the house, according to the report.
Children, aged 4, 10 and 13, witnessed the fight, according to the report.
