Saturday is your chance to clean out your closets and clear your paper clutter.

A variety of services will be available to the public for free from 8-11 a.m. for Make a Difference Day.

Community members can drop off personal computers and prescription drugs for proper disposal, have sensitive personal documents shredded, and donate items.

New or gently used children’s books will be accepted for United Way’s Read United program, new or gently used sports equipment for the Macon RBI program, and nonperishable food and toiletries for veterans in need and their families.

The services will be available in the parking lot of the former Bibb County school district Welcome Center at 2011 Riverside Drive in Macon, near Red Lobster and the Riverside Ford/Lincoln dealership, and the parking lot of the VECTR Center at 1001 Armed Forces Blvd. in Warner Robins.

Document shredding and prescription drug disposal will only be offered at the Macon location.
