New jobs and plenty of Long English Cucumbers are less than a year away from being ready in Peach County.

Shortly after breaking ground in September, Canada-based Pure Flavor begun earth moving on its new site Monday to prep for the build of its 75-acre high-tech greenhouse complex on Ga. 96.

The project will be built in three phases of 25 acres each, with Phase 1 set to be complete by mid-summer 2018. The project is expected to create more than 200 jobs over the next five years.

According to a Facebook post by the company, the first crops to be harvested next fall are of Long English Cucumbers and Tomatoes on the Vine. The greenhouse complex will be the largest facility of its kind in the southeast.
