Missing Macon man with Alzheimer’s found

An elderly Macon man with Alzheimer’s disease reportedly went missing early Friday and was found later in the evening.

Before being found walking near Oglethorpe Street just before 8 p.m., Adams, 67, had last spotted about 9 a.m. in the 3500 block of Morgan Drive, near Freedom Park in north Macon, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

When found, Adams was unharmed and in good health, the release said. He was reunited with his family.

Alzheimer’s disease involves memory loss and loss of other cognitive abilities.
