Fish Brothers House Movers on Thursday prepared Coleman Cottage for its move Sunday to Wellston Park in Warner Robins, Ga.

The public is invited to see Coleman Cottage placed in its new home Sunday.

The house that was built around 1925 will be moved from its original site in Centerville to the new Wellston Park in Warner Robins.

Jim Taylor, vice president of Wellston Trees and Greens, said a reception is planned at Wellston Park, which is on Olympia Drive at Watson Boulevard. The house move will take place from 7-9 a.m. The reception at Wellston Park starts at 8:30 a.m.

Fish Brothers House Movers on Thursday finished getting the house ready for the move. They lifted the house with hydraulic jacks, put steel beams under it, slid wheels underneath the beams and pushed the house out with a big-rig truck to get it in position to start the move Sunday.

The house is on Elberta Road right next to the Warner Robins city limits. It will move left on Elberta, then left on Carl Vinson Parkway, then left on Watson and left on Olympia Drive. The entire road will be closed when the house is moving.
