The Milledgeville Police Department will host a free concealed carry course later this month.
The course is set for Nov. 21 and will include classroom instruction and simulator training, as well as time in the firing range, according to a release. Seating is limited to 25 spots.
The instructor will be Kelly Burke, an attorney at Burke Lasseter Law Office in Warner Robins and founder of Houston County Carries Concealed and Georgia Carries Concealed.
Applications are available at the police department at 125 W. McIntosh St. and are due back by Nov. 16.
Applicants must have a current Georgia firearms license and ammunition and be willing to consent to a background check.
