Jeweler names store manager

Fred Meyer Jewelers appointed Krystal Guthrie store manager of its new store located within the Kroger Marketplace at Nixon Crossing, 744 Ga. 96 in Bonaire. It will open June 10.

Certified by the Diamond Council of America, Guthrie began working for Fred Meyer Jewelers in 2010 as a sales associate.

Founded in 1973, Fred Meyer Jewelers is the nation’s second largest fine jewelry retailer. This is the company’s 80th store within a Kroger Marketplace location and the fifth store in Georgia.

Farmers Insurance recognizes Patel with Blue Vase Award

Farmers Insurance Agency owner Manda Patel in Macon has been honored with the company’s Blue Vase award recognizing Patel for her outstanding commitment to serving customers and working with consumers to help them recognize the value of life insurance as an important part of a family’s insurance portfolio.

The Blue Vase award is presented to a select group of Farmers Insurance Agency Owners who demonstrate exceptional service and sales in the area of life insurance.

State Bank names Leicht market president

Bruce Leicht has been named market president in Bibb County by State Bank and Trust Co. Leicht will lead the team responsible for growing the commercial and personal banking lines of business in Macon-Bibb County.

Leicht has nearly 20 years of experience in the banking industry in Macon and comes to State Bank from Wells Fargo, where he served as a business banker since 2009. Leicht holds a bachelor’s degree from Furman University and a master’s degree in business administration from Georgia College & State University.

Geico announces several promotions

Clayton Lumsden has been promoted to a liability claims two manager in the Macon regional office.

Lumsden started his career in 1988 as a management intern. In addition to managing various departments, he managed the Oklahoma and Michigan specialty units.

Cory Flowers has been selected as a salvage supervisor. Flowers began his career in 2013 as a glass claims specialist.

Jessica Taylor has been selected for the claims supervisor preparation program. Taylor began her career as a claims representative in 2011 and has successfully completed all levels of claims.

Mandy Thomas has been selected for the claims supervisor preparation program. Thomas started her career in 1999 as customer service representative.

Crystal Colabine has been promoted to a salvage supervisor. Colabine began her career in 2003 as a claims representative.

Jeanne Proffitt has been promoted to a Southeast continuing unit manager. Proffitt joined in 2002 as a liability claims representative.

Melissa Forsee has been promoted to a salvage supervisor. Forsee started her career 2007 as a customer service representative. She completed the supervisor preparation program in 2014.

Kayla Badding has been promoted to a claims supervisor. She began her career in 2012 in the claims department.

Warren Associates wins awards

Warren Associates Inc., commercial building contractor, recently won three first-place awards for job performance excellence from the Associated General Contractors of Georgia Inc. The awards were for the Fort Hawkins Visitor Center, rehabilitation of the band stand and Round Building in Central City Park and the Thomas Jackson Juvenile Justice Center.

The Build Georgia Award competition recognizes excellence in commercial construction projects each year throughout the state.

Superintendents Randy Barfield, Bill Newby, Greg Stokes, Doyle Taylor, Jeff Thompson, Ken Whitehead and Robert Whitten were also recognized for safety excellence.

The award is designed to recognize the superintendents for outstanding contributions to safety on their job sites during calendar year 2014.

McNeal Insurance Agency earns Senior Partner designation
