A bowling alley could be coming to north Bibb County.
Applicant PZDM LLC, a consulting engineering firm, is seeking a conditional-use permit to allow a bowling alley on a 3.76-acre parcel at 4318 Sheraton Drive, according to the agenda for the April 13 meeting of the Macon-Bibb County Planning & Zoning Commission. The parcel is part of a larger 15.24-acre tract, where motel and office uses already are being considered.
The bowling alley would consist of bowling lanes, snack bar, laser tag area, game room, bumper car area, party room, meeting room and billiards room, according to the agenda. The developer operates a similar bowling alley in Stockbridge.
The building facade is planned to be split-face concrete block and stucco. PZDM LLL is asking for a variance in rear setback requirements. The property is located in a Planned Development Extraordinary district.
