Angela Davenport, co-owner of Allen’s Stone Baked Pizzeria, 115-A Margie Drive, Warner Robins, 971-2604.
How long have you been in business?: Davenport and her husband, Mike, have owned the sit-down, casual business about seven years, but had someone else manage it until about three years ago. They operated a Verizon store but when the cell phone company cut back its stores, the couple took over management of their pizza business.
What do you like best about your job?: “Getting to know the people. ... Getting to know families that come in on a regular basis. ... We know just about all our customers on a first-name basis. They are only a stranger one time.”
What is your specialty?: “We make our dough from scratch and all of our vegetables are fresh and hand cut. Nothing is frozen here. ... There is nothing pre-made in our restaurant. ... We hand-make every pizza, subs, salad and dessert that goes out. ... I make lasagna from scratch. ... We hand-make our bread sticks.”
