Bivins joins River Edge board
Bert Bivins has been appointed by the Bibb County Commission to serve on the board of River Edge Behavioral Health Center.
A graduate of Fort Valley State University, Bivins served in the U.S. Army and is retired from Robins Air Force Base. Previously, he worked as an educator in the Twiggs County school system. In 1995, he was elected to fill an unexpired term on the Bibb County Commission and continues to serve on the Macon-Bibb County Commission.
Camellia Society names Khoury as operations manager

The American Camellia Society has promoted William Khoury III to serve as operations manager. Khoury will oversee the daily management of the property at the society’s Massee Lane Gardens in Fort Valley. Khoury has served the society since 2005 as a residential environmentalist and later as an assistant horticulturist. He was promoted to horticultural specialist in 2013. Khoury holds a bachelor’s degree in arts from Georgia College & State University. Khoury serves on the board of the Middle Georgia Camellia Society and is a member of the Master Naturalists and the Southeastern Palm Society.
Healthiest credit unions named
Warner Robins-based Robins Federal Credit Union and Macon-based MidSouth Community Federal Credit Union were named to the Top 200 Healthiest Credit Unions in America by DepositsAccounts.com.

Two macon attorneys, firm honored in 2015 publication
National labor and employment law firm Constangy, Brooks & Smith LLP, announced that two partners, W. Melvin Haas II and Jeffery Thompson, from the firm’s Macon office have been named to the 2015 edition of Best Lawyers in America publication.
Haas was recognized for employment law management, labor law management and labor and employment litigation. Hass is a leader in labor relations law and serves as head of Constangy’s Macon office.
Thompson was recognized for employment law management, labor law management and labor and employment litigation. Thompson’s practice focuses on representing management in employment, litigation and labor matters, as well as training clients on preventative measures to avoid litigation.

Constangy’s Macon office also received three top listed designations for the publication for employment law management, labor law management and labor and employment litigation.
