Seven WR home business licenses approved

The Warner Robins Planning and Zoning committee approved seven licenses Tuesday for business owners who intend to base their administrative offices in their homes, a reflection of an economy that is still suffering, Community Development Director Robert Sisa said.

The meeting lasted about eight minutes, in which the board approved businesses that included jewelry design, refrigeration repairs and cleaning.

Sisa said home business licenses have become the bulk of the committee’s agendas, since development declined during the recession. It means developers aren’t seeking zoning permits to expand Warner Robins, he said.
