Businesses named for north Bibb development

Two more businesses have been named as part of a multi-acre development in north Bibb County.

A Flash Foods convenience store and a full-service Dairy Queen plan to build on Bass Road at Interstate 75, according to a news release from Placemaker LLC, the company developing Providence Village in north Bibb County. The two businesses will be in the same building and construction is expected to begin this summer.

“Flash Foods has been looking for a north Macon location for 10 years,” real estate agent Jim Rollins of The Summit Group Inc. said in the release. “They knew the Bass Road area was the place they wanted to be and this location works really well for them.”

Plans for the mixed-use development include retail, office space, loft apartments and a Homewood Suites hotel. The hotel is open and the construction of Natalia’s restaurant is under way.
