In about a month the relocation of the Wal-Mart store in Forsyth will be complete, and the company is seeking additional workers.
The company is moving from 120 N. Lee St., which opened in 1986, to its new building at 180 N. Lee St., which will include a grocery section, according to a news release. With construction complete, workers are currently moving into the new building and plan to open March 17.
The existing store will remain open until the new store opens.
Wal-Mart expects to hire an additional 150 people, primarily part time, for the relocated store, the release stated.
Applications are being accepted at the existing store from 7 a.m.-10 p.m. Mondays-Saturdays and 7 a.m.-9 p.m. Sundays. Applicants also may apply online at http://walmartstores.com/careers/7745.aspx.
When complete, the new store will employ about 240 workers.
