GREENWICH, Conn. — SP Newsprint Co. LLC announced Tuesday that it will take market-related downtime at its two paper mills in Dublin and Newberg, Ore., in the first quarter of 2009.
The planned shut-downs will result in about 25,000 metric tons of reduced newsprint production.
The specific downtime taken at each mill will be determined based on manufacturing and delivery costs at the time.
Additional downtime will be taken throughout the year as required by market conditions.
