Kroger is offering an environmentally friendly food drive this year.
Beginning this week through the end of December, Kroger grocery stores will give a reusable shopping bag to customers who donate $10 or more to the company’s Can Hunger food drive, according to a news release.
The money will help stock the shelves of the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank, the release stated. Under the theme Reach Out, Reuse and Reduce Hunger, $10 donations will provide more than 10 meals for the hungry.
Kroger customers can also purchase $5 or $1 icons, which represent food, to give to the Can Hunger campaign.
